1st Drop Music is the Arizona-rooted home of Bear Gallagher-Cole’s personal musical catalog. Known as Bear Cole, he creates music through distinct artist identities, each with its own sound and creative direction. Bear has personally worked on every recording in his catalog; collaborative projects and recordings with guest producers or lyricists retain their individual credits. The catalog moves through hip-hop, electronic music, house, rock, country, folk, cinematic composition and instrumental beatmaking. Listeners can explore individual artists or follow connections across the music, videos and stories. One Musical Mind. Many Artists. For a brief period, Bear approached 1st Drop Music as a record label and helped IMIKO and BG NFTY, two separate artists. That model proved to be the wrong fit, and he moved away from representing other artists through 1st Drop Music. Any future outside-artist venture would operate as a separate entity. Earlier in his career, Bear owned a different record label that released other artists’ work; 1st Drop Music houses his personal music. In 2026, 1st Drop Music celebrates twenty years since its first releases in 2006. Bear’s musical career began earlier, with groups including Eklektraphonik, touring with bands, and DJ work before his move toward solo projects. The anniversary marks the first releases on 1st Drop Music, not the beginning of his career or a verified debut date for Bear the Astronot or Turntable Kachina. The Wax Chumps brings together producer Waxie and lyricist Bear the Astronot. Vishnu Schist brings together producer Arsenic and lyricist Bear the Astronot. These collaborations retain their shared authorship alongside Bear’s solo artist identities. Think Revolution also includes work by multiple producers, with individual contributions credited at the recording level. Faces of Death is produced by Bear Cole, with lyrics by Bear the Astronot and Sticky Fingaz of Onyx.
