IMIKO EP Album Art

I wanted to let you know that IMIKO EP is now being distributed globally. hello, my name is Bear Gallagher-Cole and i'm the owner of 1st Drop Music. i'm really excited to share with you that the 6 song ep by IMIKO is available for your listening pleasure everywhere. house, bass house, edm. the ep is a great effort from IMIKO and we can't wait for him to release a full length album. there are many reasons why i felt this would be a good opportunity to explain why we brought IMIKO onto 1st Drop Music. first, we're not a record label. IMIKO created all of the songs on the ep on his own; we're simply helping to promote them. i first met IMIKO when he worked for me as a dj. at the time i had two businesses going simultaneously - a multi-op and my own business. Trask Snow, otherwise known as IMIKO, was an excellent employee and dj. it wasn't only because of his musical talent that we hit it off so well, it was also because our minds seemed to think alike. we shared a strong work ethic and passion for music. for us, djing was simply one aspect of our work. therefore, we were able to separate our djing from our art and focus solely on the needs of the gig, rather than our own personal preferences. for anyone who dj's a variety of gigs - bars, clubs, weddings, corporate events, school events, etc., this is absolutely essential. it's incredibly difficult to teach someone that djing isn't about playing what you want your audience to hear, but rather figuring out what your audience wants to hear and then having enough knowledge of music to make that happen. IMIKO picked up on that right away. however, as we discussed things further it became obvious that we were both somewhat workaholics. we both produced music, we both engineered audio, we were both technically savvy, we were both musicians and songwriters. our compatibility within the realm of music and entertainment extended far beyond just one area. this enabled us to develop a friendship and working relationship. on any given day you will find us discussing a wedding gig, the acoustics at a venue, a remix ep or dj edit and what classes we may take to become certified or expand our skill set. this is simply how we communicate. when IMIKO began releasing music it was an easy decision for us. just as people in the gig economy support each other, we support each other. adding IMIKO to 1st Drop Music was simply the next logical step. with all of that being said, we are extremely pleased to assist IMIKO in promoting his ep and look forward to you hearing it.
