Podcast Episode #3 - A Discussion About Live-Streaming and its Impact on the Music Industry with Trask Snow, AKA DJ IMIKO.
On this episode of the From the 1st Drop Podcast, your host Bear Cole sat down with guest Trask Snow for an in-depth conversation about the role that live-streaming plays in the music industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Specifically, we discussed why live-streaming has grown significantly in popularity due to the COVID-19 epidemic, and how you can use it to effectively promote yourself as an independent Musician or DJ. Before this episode, Trask Snow (AKA IMIKO) organized a live stream festival called Gimme Shelter to generate funds to assist the homeless population in their community who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the festival also aimed to raise funds for the bands/musicians/DJs who participated in the festival; many of whom had been out of work since the pandemic began. The festival ultimately featured more than 20 different performers/bands and provided Trask and his company Trask Media LLC. with valuable insight into creating a successful Livestream Event.
